"But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light. Because I have sinned against him, I will bear the LORD's wrath, until he pleads my case and upholds my cause. He will bring me out into the light; I will see his righteousness." Micah 7:7-9

She earned a B.A. in Communication Studies from Olivet Nazarene University, an M.A. in Communication from Northern Illinois University, and a Ph.D. in Communication at Liberty University where her research focused on digital culture-building techniques in Christian nonprofit organizations. As Associate Professor of Communication, Dr. Mead teaches a variety of courses in communication studies, including interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, and communication theory. She loves teaching about the field's applicability across all areas of life. She is also the advisor for ETBU's local chapters of Lambda Pi Eta (National Communication Honor Society) and Kristos Logos Paideia (a global undergraduate honor society for Christian communication scholars). Each November she organizes the Howard C. Bennett Speech Contest, an annual speech competition for graduating seniors that gives students a platform to persuade and inspire.
Dr. Mead feels called to Christian education, where she can engage students both academically and personally--helping them seek God's Truth both inside and outside of the classroom.
