Study Abroad Opportunities

Global Study and Serve

East Texas Baptist University provides students with unique opportunities to engage in global learning experiences through courses offered abroad by ETBU faculty. These trips take place during the May term and throughout the academic year. The experiences enable students to immerse themselves in diverse cultural contexts while earning academic credit. The locations for these courses vary annually, but past destinations have included Ecuador, Israel, Ethiopia, China, Guatemala, and Greece, among others. The cost of participating in the Global Study and Serve program is comparable to that of on-campus study, making global education accessible and financially feasible for all students. These experiences not only enhance academic understanding but also create a deeper appreciation for global diversity and cross-cultural service.
