Meet Dr. Nicole Fant

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord rather than for people." Colossians 3:23

Dr. Nicole Fant joined East Texas Baptist University as Dean of the Teague School of Nursing and Assistant Professor in 2023. Previously, Dr. Fant has served as a staff nurse, house supervisor, and program manager in a rural acute care hospital. She has also served as nursing faculty for traditional, RN-BSN, and MSN Nursing Administration programs, as well as MSN Nursing Administration Program Coordinator.

Following graduation, She continued her education to receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing - Nursing Administration from Texas A&M University - Texarkana. Dr. Fant received her Ph.D. in Nursing Science from Texas Woman's University.

Dr. Fant, her husband, Kevin, and daughters, Kynlee and Hadlee, reside in Linden and are active members of Pinecrest Baptist Church. She is involved in her community, advocacy, research, and continued education of nurses. She serves on the Linden-Kildare CISD Board of Trustees as secretary and many other community and healthcare committees within her community.

Dr. Fant believes strongly that nurses help to serve Jesus as his healing hands, providing care and comfort to those we come across. She also believes that nurses must have a seat at the table to advocate for our profession, communities, and patients and that nurses must never stop learning. It is Dr. Fant's passion to share with her nursing students this compassion and dedication to elevating the nursing profession.
