Meet Marcus Alan Holliday

Mr. Marcus Holliday has over 20 years of experience in the field of Athletic Training and currently serves as the Head Athletic Trainer at East Texas Baptist University. Mr. Holliday earned a BS in Biology from Presbyterian College and a MA in Education from Furman University. He holds a national certification with the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification. Mr. Holliday oversees a staff of two full-time athletic trainers and three graduate assistants, providing medical care for the student-athletes competing in the school's various athletic programs. Specifically, Mr. Holliday currently works directly with the Football and Baseball teams at ETBU. Prior to arriving at ETBU in 2009, Mr. Holliday worked at renowned IMG Academies in Bradenton, FL. Mr. Holliday has a variety of healthcare experience, including having worked for an orthopaedic practice and an outpatient physical therapy practice. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to work extensively with various teams representing the United States Soccer Federation, most notably the Men's Olympic Soccer Team in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. His work with US Soccer has afforded him the opportunity to work with elite athletes and travel around the world including Egypt, China, Turkey, New Zealand, Australia and numerous European countries. His desire is to provide compassionate care, while maintaining a commitment to excellence as a well-informed healthcare professional.
