Meet Julia Schneider

Julia Schneider serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Teague School of Nursing at East Texas Baptist University. She currently teaches Health Assessment, Fundamentals Skills Lab and various clinicals at different levels. She received her Associate Degree of Nursing at Madisonville Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Murray State University while living in Kentucky. After she moved back to Texas, she earned her Masters of Science in Nursing for the University of Texas at Tyler. Ms. Schneider believes nurses work with the patient in a comprehensive and holistic approach. Acknowledging the importance of the spiritual needs along with the physical needs of the patient. She believes that faith affects a person’s health and well-being of her patients. Therefore, caring for one’s spiritual needs, including prayer, helps with an inner peace that can have physiological effects on the body systems.
