Meet Dr. Mark Miller

Dr. Mark Miller has been serving at East Texas Baptist University since 2005 in the Behavioral Sciences Department as a professor of Sociology. Before joining the faculty at ETBU he taught as an Adjunct Professor for Dallas Baptist University, Collin County Community College, Dallas County Community College, and North Central Texas Community College. He also pastored Creekside Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion at Dallas Baptist College (1984), a Master of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1987) and a Ph.D. at the University of North Texas in the Sociology of Urban Studies and Family (2000). He has presented papers on his research interests, which include church charity, college students’ drug and alcohol use, and college student’s world views. Finally, he is very grateful for the Baptist Higher Education that he and his family have received and very excited about continuing to work with the Baptist leaders of tomorrow.
