About ETBU

Meet Chad Cox

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

Chad Cox serves as the Director of Career Counseling and Placement Services and a Development Officer for ETBU Advancement. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from ETBU in 2011 and later earned a Master of Education in Sports and Exercise Leadership in 2016. During his time as a student-athlete, Chad played four years for both the Tiger Baseball and Tiger Soccer programs.

Post-graduation, Chad contributed significantly to the YMCA of Palestine, serving as the Sports Director overseeing youth and adult sports in the area. He also spent two years as a Math teacher and soccer coach at Palestine High School.

In 2015, Chad returned to ETBU, joining the coaching staff for men's and women's soccer. He transitioned to his current role at ETBU in December 2023.

His career has been marked by a profound passion for working with younger generations, aiming to inspire and guide them toward their goals and the path the Lord calls them to take. Through his story and gifts, Chad endeavors to listen, encourage, mold, and lead young people into becoming better individuals during their time on the hill at ETBU.

He and his wife, Kristin, have two boys, Hudson and Brooks, and love being a part of the ETBU and East Texas community.
