"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
Coach Cox first came to East Texas Baptist University has a student in 2007, where he has since received a Bachelor of Business Administration focused in Accounting, and a M. Ed. in Sports and Exercise Leadership. During his original stint on the hill, he was a four year member both the Tiger Baseball and Tiger Soccer programs. After completing his early years here at ETBU, Cox had the opportunity to serve in multiple facets with the YMCA of Palestine, most importantly his role as Sports Director for all youth and adult sports in the area. In addition, Chad spent two years as a Math teacher and soccer coach at Palestine High School. In 2015, Cox returned to ETBU, as a member of the men's and women's soccer coaching staff. Throughout his career, Cox has had what he considers one of the biggest blessings of his lifetime; getting to work with the younger generations and give back. Hoping to use his story and gifts to help listen, encourage, mold, and lead young people towards their personal goals, what the Lord is calling them to be, and into better young adults when they leave their time on the hill here at ETBU.
