Amber Baldwin joined East Texas Baptist University as an adjunct faculty in the Spring of 2024 and became an Assistant Professor in the fall of 2024. Prior to transitioning into education, she had served as a staff nurse for multiple hospitals in Northeast Louisiana and East Texas, specializing in cardiology.
Professor Baldwin is a Marshall native who currently resides in Marshall. She and her husband, Phillip, have one son, JB. She attended Kilgore College for her Associate Degree in Nursing and graduated in 2014. Following graduation, she continued her education to receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In 2021, she received a Master of Science in Nursing focusing in Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University.
Professor Baldwin is passionate about delivering equal, patient-centered care. She believes nurses have a special calling to care for their patients, just as God commands us to serve and love one another. Whether we are discharging a patient or holding the hand of one to pass, nurses are the hands and feet of Jesus.
