Meet Michael Rich

"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20

Michael Rich serves as the Assistant Professor of Athletic Training in the Department of Kinesiology at East Texas Baptist University. Prior to joining East Texas Baptist University, he has worked as an athletic trainer in both the collegiate and secondary school settings. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training at East Texas Baptist University in May 2012, and later finished his Master of Science in Kinesiology at The University of Texas at Tyler in August 2015. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Health Sciences degree from A.T. Still University. Michael has always viewed the athletic training profession as one of the greatest platforms to serve others and be the hands and feet of Jesus. He believes integrating Christian faith in learning prepares students to not only have successful careers but also equips them to serve and advance His kingdom wherever they have been called. Michael is married to Chelsea, who is also a 2012 ETBU graduate. She serves as a Labor & Delivery Nurse at Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler, Texas. They have two sons, Hudson and Kaden.
