Caroline Franks is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Communicative Disorders from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, as well as a Doctorate in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Baylor University. She currently holds a Texas License in Speech-Language Pathology, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Additionally, she worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist during her clinical fellowship year in both an elementary school and an outpatient rehabilitation setting.
Academically, Caroline is committed to incorporating the importance of quality of life into her classroom instruction, emphasizing the dignity and well-being of the clients we serve as Speech-Language Pathologists. She strives to help students recognize that effective clinical practice extends beyond addressing communication disorders to empowering individuals to participate meaningfully in their daily lives and communities. Caroline is also dedicated to integrating faith and learning, highlighting how Speech-Language Pathologists can approach therapy through a faith-informed lens.
