Mr. Rolando Reyes currently serves as the Assistant Dean for Spiritual Formation and Prayer at East Texas Baptist University. He brings several years of experience walking alongside college students, guiding them through their formative university years with a deeply Christ-centered approach. Prior to returning to ETBU, Mr. Reyes served for two years as a Resident Chaplain at Baylor University, providing spiritual guidance and ministerial care within a residence hall community.
Mr. Reyes earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religion from ETBU and a Master of Divinity from Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary. Throughout his educational and ministerial journey, he has solidified a deep conviction that prayer and Scripture are the foundational pillars of a life transformed by Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Driven by this passion, Mr. Reyes is honored to advance ETBU’s commitment to prayer and spiritual formation, creating intentional opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to grow in their faith.
Beyond this, Mr. Reyes loves spending time with his wife and son traveling, watching movies, shows, and spending time outdoors. He also enjoys playing soccer and staying active with various other activities that allow him to build meaningful relationships with friends and neighbors. Finally, Mr. Reyes loves filling the pulpit for local churches, encouraging them to grow and be conformed into the image of Jesus Christ.
