Joanna serves as Vice President for Financial Affairs and Chief Financial Officer at East Texas Baptist University. In 2025, she assumed the role of Vice President for Financial Affairs after serving ETBU for more than seven years as Controller and Assistant Vice President.
Before joining ETBU, Joanna worked as a Senior Accountant at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and held various roles in public accounting for more than 11 years.
She earned a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business. She is also a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
A native of Marshall, Joanna and her husband, Steven, have three children: Greyson, Lorelei, and Madelyn. As a family, they enjoy baseball, softball, hunting, and trips to the beach.
