Meet Mr. Joey Petrich

Joey Petrich serves as head women’s soccer coach at ETBU. Previously, he served at East Texas FCA and as a volunteer coach at Tyler Junior College. He holds a USSF National License and NSCAA Levels 1-3 Goalkeeper diplomas.

At TJC, Petrich specialized in goalkeepers, helping the program win the 2021 NJCAA Division I National Championship and coach an NJCAA All-American. He also spent four years as an assistant at UT Tyler, where the Patriots earned a berth in the 2017 NCAA Division III Tournament. His first collegiate coaching role came at Concordia-Moorhead in 2015.

A native of Elk River, Minn., Petrich played four years in goal at Saint Mary’s University (Minn.), recording 135 saves and twice earning MIAC Academic All-Conference honors.

He and his wife, Caitlin, have three children: Piper, Thomas, and Ezra.
