Dr. Scott Bryant currently serves as Vice President for Advancement and Administrative Affairs. He previously served as the University Chaplain & Vice President for Spiritual Development at ETBU.
Before coming to ETBU in 2011, Scott taught in the Religion Department and Honors College at Baylor University. He is an ordained Baptist minister and has served on staff at churches in Texas and in Massachusetts. Dr. Bryant earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, a Master of Divinity from Truett Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Religion from Baylor University. He also earned a Master of Sacred Theology in Church History from the Boston University School of Theology.
Dr. Bryant is the author of "The Awakening of the Free Will Baptists: Benjamin Randall and the Founding of an American Religious Tradition." He has published articles in American Baptist Quarterly, Baptist History & Heritage, and Perspectives on Religious Studies.
Dr. Bryant's life was transformed through Christian higher education and he works to provide the same transformational experience to his students.
