Dr. Julie Philippart has more than 25 years of experience in higher education, public health, and as a healthcare professional and 18 years of experience as a Laboratory Officer in the Biological Science Corps in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. She currently serves as the Director of Clinical Lab Science in the Frank S. Groner School of Professional Studies at East Texas Baptist University. Dr. Philippart earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Mississippi State University, certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, a M.S in Microbiology from Mississippi State University, and a DHSc from Nova Southeastern University. She is a nationally certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist and has experience preparing Military and Civilian Clinical Laboratories for CAP and Joint Commission inspections and with disaster preparedness and mass casualty exercises. Throughout her military and civilian career, she has embraced faith-based servant leadership which emphasizes using one’s position to empower others, foster their development, and work towards a common good, one which reflects God’s will.
