Dr. Jeremy Johnston has been at East Texas Baptist University since 2019 and currently serves as the Vice President for Enrollment. Prior to joining the ETBU staff, Jeremy served at Dallas Baptist University as the Director of Ministry Students and Assistant to the Vice President for Enrollment. Before serving in Higher Education, Jeremy served as a Senior Pastor for over 10 years at Builders Baptist Church in Merkel, Texas and at Preston Highlands Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Jeremy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Theology with minors in Business and Biblical Languages and a Master of Arts in Religion from Hardin Simmons University. He earned his Ph.D. in Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. Jeremy’s desire is to help students pursue God’s purpose and call on their life. He recognizes the important role ETBU plays in helping students clarify this purpose for their personal and (future) professional lives through academic, personal, and spiritual growth.
