Ga-Young Park is a collaborative pianist and vocal coach who will join the faculty of East Texas Baptist University in Fall 2025 as Collaborative Piano. She has served in a variety of roles, including opera coach, harpsichordist, and rehearsal pianist for numerous opera productions and art song recitals.
Originally from South Korea, Park is pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano at the New England Conservatory of Music, where she also earned both a Master of Music and Graduate Diploma in Collaborative Piano. While at NEC, she worked extensively with opera and art song singers, coached repertoire across multiple languages, and performed in both staged productions and concert settings. She also holds a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from Indiana University.
Park’s professional experience includes several distinguished summer festivals. She served as a vocal piano fellow at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, collaborating with internationally renowned artists. She has also worked at Music on Site in Wichita and Opera in the Ozarks in Arkansas, contributing as a rehearsal pianist and coach across a wide range of repertoire.
Her upcoming role at East Texas Baptist University will combine her collaborative work with teaching, mentoring, and performing, reflecting her belief in the transformative power of music to inspire, connect, and enrich communities.
