The ETBU Tiger Marching Band is a dynamic part of campus life. The Tiger Marching Band performs at all ETBU home football games, pep rally events, parades and occasional out-of-town performances. The band is made up of students from every academic major, and rehearses at 4:00 p.m. every Monday-Thursday during the fall semester. Band activities and rehearsals are designed and scheduled with the needs of the modern college student in mind. Band students can easily manage their academic courses and work schedules with their membership in the band.
High school students with an interest in ETBU and the Tiger Bands are invited play in the stands with us during the football games, and they may participate in the "Tiger Walk" and tailgating before the game! Students with previous experience in high school or college band may enroll in the Tiger Marching Band, however, there are placement auditions for certain sections of the band (i.e. colorguard, feature twirlers and drumline). Drum Major auditions are held at the end of each Spring semester and are open to all students who have participated in the ETBU Marching Band at least one season. Enrollment in this ensemble counts toward the 3-credit hour fine arts requirement on all ETBU degrees.
Twirler Audition Information
I’m very excited for this coming season of the ETBU Tiger Band! Twirlers have always been an integral part of the marching band tradition and it’s no different here at ETBU.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we are unable to hold in-person auditions at this time. Rather, please submit a video of you twirling if you have that available, either from a previous performance or an improvised routine. If you don’t have a video available to submit, please reach out to me (firstname.lastname@example.org) and indicate your interest and experience level with twirling and I’ll be happy to talk with you more.
Color Guard Audition Information
I’m very excited for this coming season of the ETBU Tiger Band! No marching band is complete without a full compliment of color guard members adding to the visual aspect of the marching band program.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we are unable to hold in-person auditions at this time. If you are able, please submit a video of your flag/rifle work. This video doesn’t have to be a specific routine or set but should allow you to showcase your ability. If you are unable to submit a video but are still interested in participating in Color Guard, please reach out to email@example.com to indicate your interest and your experience with Color Guard and I’ll be happy to talk with you more.
