Xi Iota is a chapter of the Gamma Sigma Epsilon National Chemistry Honor Society. To be nominated for membership, students must maintain a 3.25 overall GPA and have a minimum of 60 college-level hours, among other requirements. Once eligible for nomination, the students are confirmed for membership by the science faculty and then are invited to be inducted as members of Gamma Sigma Epsilon. The Department of Chemistry hosts an induction ceremony and dinner to celebrate the achievement of its newest Xi Iota members. Xi Iota strives to provide opportunities for students to engage in discipline-specific academic, social, and community service events, and to promote fellowship among Christian scientists.
