The MA in Counseling-Licensure Specialization allows graduates to pursue state counseling licensure in Texas and various other states. The MA in Counseling-Ministry Specialization allows students to work in ministry settings where licensure is not required, including some church settings, certain parachurch organizations, or in many missions organizations or settings.
