ETBU Tiger Day demonstrates to prospective students what it means to be an ETBU Tiger

East Texas Baptist University hosted almost 300 guests on campus for Tiger Day on Saturday, November 10. The event enabled prospective students to learn what it means to be an ETBU Tiger through an academic showcase, student life exposition, campus tour, Tiger Family tailgate, and Tiger Football game.

ETBU’s Worship Summit encourages generations of church musicians

East Texas Baptist University, along with Texas Baptists (BGCT), hosted the third annual Worship Summit on Thursday, November 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. in ETBU’s Ornelas Student Center. The gathering focused on the spiritual health of worship pastors with presentations on balancing responsibilities, building relationships, and finding rest.

ETBU Kinesiology students treat community children to a Field Day

East Texas Baptist University’s Kinesiology Department hosted its 11th annual Field Day for Washington Early Childhood Center (WECC) on Wednesday, October 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Keys Gym on campus. ETBU Kinesiology students interacted with over 280 three and four year-olds from the center, allowing them to enjoy a variety of physical activities including parachute play, tricycle riding, and obstacle courses.

East Texas Baptist University invited alumni from the College of Marshall (COM), East Texas Baptist College (ETBC), and East Texas Baptist University (ETBU) back to the Hill to celebrate past and present traditions during Homecoming weekend on Friday, October 26 through Saturday, October 27.

ETBU hosts the 2018 PTK Texas Region Leadership Conference

East Texas Baptist University hosted the 2018 Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society (PTK) Texas Region Leadership Conference on Friday, October 12 through Sunday, October 14. PTK is an international honors society of two-year colleges and academic programs. The organization seeks to acknowledge the academic achievements of students and provide growth opportunities both personally and professionally. Annually, each PTK region holds affordable and accessible conventions to allow chapters to network in their areas.
