ETBU holds Ring Blessing ceremony to honor December 2025 graduates

East Texas Baptist University honored 97 graduating seniors with the presentation of their official ETBU Class Ring. The Ring Blessing ceremony was held on Wednesday, November 19, for the soon-to-be ETBU alumni who will walk the stage in December 2025. Inspired by Deuteronomy 6, the class ring serves as a symbol for ETBU alumni to carry and display the love of Christ throughout their lives.

ETBU Director of Alumni Relations, Cari Johnson (’94), shared a powerful chapel message on the transformative power of change.

Legacy of 1912 Society Luncheon welcomes ETBU retirees and donors

East Texas Baptist University welcomed ETBU retirees, Legacy of 1912 Society members, and endowed scholarship donors to campus for the annual Legacy of 1912 Society Luncheon on Wednesday, November 5.

The Legacy of 1912 Society is comprised of alumni and friends who, through thoughtful estate planning and other forms of planned giving, ensure that resources will be available to support ETBU far into the future.

ETBU Honors 218 Graduates at Spring 2025 Commencement

East Texas Baptist University presented 218 graduates with degrees during its commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 10, in Baker Chapel of the Rogers Spiritual Life Center. During the ceremonies, 189 students received undergraduate degrees, and 29 received graduate degrees. The worship ceremony featured Scripture readings, praise and worship through song, prayers, and blessings over the graduates.

ETBU’s annual Hilltop University encourages senior adults

East Texas Baptist University held its annual Hilltop University on Wednesday, May 29 through Friday, May 31. The three-day spiritual retreat offered more than 170 boomers and senior adults the opportunity to experience life as an ETBU student on campus through the study of God’s Word, corporate worship, joyful entertainment, and fellowship with friends.
