ETBU Tiger Day demonstrates to prospective students what it means to be an ETBU Tiger

East Texas Baptist University hosted almost 300 guests on campus for Tiger Day on Saturday, November 10. The event enabled prospective students to learn what it means to be an ETBU Tiger through an academic showcase, student life exposition, campus tour, Tiger Family tailgate, and Tiger Football game.

ETBU & Marshall High Work Together To Offer Dual Credit Options for High School Students

MARSHALL, Texas (5/05/15) -  Marshall High School and East Texas Baptist University continue to work together in providing high school students with options to receive dual credit hours.  The dual credit agreement between MHS and ETBU, which started 17 years ago, allows junior and senior high students to enroll in ETBU courses and simultaneously earn college and high school credit for the course.

ETBU Reschedules Judge Sam B. Hall Jr. Lecture Series and Banquet for March 23

MARSHALL, Texas (3/17/15) - The annual Sam B. Hall Jr. Lecture and Banquet has been rescheduled for Monday, March 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Phillips Great Room on the ground floor of the Bennett Student Commons at East Texas Baptist University.  The lecture series banquet was postponed due to inclement weather on February 23.   The lecture series program commemorates the late United States Representative and federal judge Sam B. Hall, Jr., who was a Marshall native and an alumnus of the College of Marshall, which is now ETBU.

ETBU: Students Experience Spiritual Renewal

BAPTIST STANDARD-  (2/13/15) - Because East Texas Baptist University is a private Christian university, many people assume nearly all the students who go here are Christian. Not necessarily.

Some choose ETBU because the school offers them an opportunity to participate in athletics. Many students attend ETBU to get a great education in an environment where there is more one-on-one interaction with professors. They don't all come here because they want to know more about God.

ETBU To Hold Shadow Day, February 12-13

MARSHALL, Texas (1/29/15) - High School seniors and college transfer students are invited to attend Shadow  Day at East Texas Baptist University Thursday, February 12, through Friday, February 13, 2015.  Shadow Day is an event sponsored by the ETBU Office of Admissions. 

"Shadow Day is a wonderful opportunity for students to truly experience campus life," said ETBU Director of Admissions Jason Soles. "The events and information sessions provide a picture to see what ETBU has to offer both academically and socially."
