MARSHALL, Texas (4/25/16) – East Texas Baptist University held the T.B. Maston Lecture in Christian Ethics on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. The event was co-sponsored by the ETBU School of Christian Studies and the T.B. Maston Foundation.  

MARSHALL, Texas (4/15/15) - The East Texas Baptist University Department of Religion announces "ETBU Preach! Day" on Sunday, April 19, 2015.  Ministry students from the School of Christian Studies will be guest preaching in participating area churches. 

"This will be a great way for our ministry students to gain experience," said Dr. Jennifer Bashaw, Assistant Professor of New Testament. "We are thankful for this partnership between ETBU and East Texas churches because it will serve to develop the gifts of our students and connect them to the ministry God is doing in our area."

BAPTIST STANDARD-  (2/13/15) - Because East Texas Baptist University is a private Christian university, many people assume nearly all the students who go here are Christian. Not necessarily.

Some choose ETBU because the school offers them an opportunity to participate in athletics. Many students attend ETBU to get a great education in an environment where there is more one-on-one interaction with professors. They don't all come here because they want to know more about God.

MARSHALL, Texas (1/23/15) - The 36-member East Texas Baptist University Board of Trustees met today for its first meeting of 2015.  The first order of business was the annual reorganization, which includes the seating of Trustees for service and the official beginning of Board Activities for the year.
