ETBU students play games with MISD families

ETBU serves Marshall community through Fall Festivals

East Texas Baptist University’s Learning and Leading classes hosted Fall Festivals for four of Marshall ISD’s elementary schools including David Crockett Elementary, Sam Houston Elementary, William B. Travis Elementary, and Price T. Young Elementary on Monday, October 8 to serve almost a thousand elementary students and their families.

East Texas Baptist University hosted prospective students and their families on campus for Preview Day on Monday, October 8. The event provided a comprehensive overview of life at ETBU through informational sessions, campus tours, an academic showcase, a student panel, and chapel service.

ETBU welcomes prospective students on campus for Preview Day

East Texas Baptist University hosted more than 105 guests on campus for Preview Day on Monday, October 8. Prospective students and their families received a comprehensive overview of life at ETBU through informational sessions, an academic showcase, a campus tour, student panel, and chapel. During the service, ETBU Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Thomas Sanders emphasized that God calls all of His people to service.

ETBU students recognized for Christian servant leadership

East Texas Baptist University acknowledged two students on Monday, October 8 for their service to the campus and community. Seniors Mpanga Chanda from Lusaka, Zambia, and Sheldon McGowan from Tyler, Texas, were awarded the Bob and Gayle Riley Servant Leadership Award during a special chapel service. ETBU President Emeritus Bob Riley and his wife, Gayle, presented the students with a replica of the “Divine Servant” statue, created by Max Greiner, that stands outside of ETBU’s Ornelas Spiritual Life Center.
