East Texas Baptist University’s Learning and Leading classes hosted Fall Festivals for four of Marshall ISD’s elementary schools including David Crockett Elementary, Sam Houston Elementary, William B. Travis Elementary, and Price T. Young Elementary on Monday, October 8 to serve almost a thousand elementary students and their families.

MARSHALL, Texas (2/15/16) - Dr. J. Blair Blackburn will be inaugurated as East Texas Baptist University's 13th president on Friday, February 19, 2016. The inaugural ceremony will be held in Baker Auditorium of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow the ceremony in the Huffman Activities Area of the Ornelas Student Center.

MARSHALL, Texas (2/16/16) - Officials with East Texas Baptist University and Marshall Independent School District, in partnership with the Marshall Educational Foundation announced on Thursday, Feb. 11, at Marshall High School the creation of "Maverick University." Beginning Fall 2016, ETBU will be offering nine dual credit college courses on the campus of MHS, which adds to the regular dual credit courses offered on the University campus. 

MARSHALL NEWS MESSENGER: (10/23/15)- East Texas Baptist University business students took a drive through the past century on Thursday with a few Ford Motor Company cars.

Pegues Hurst Ford of Longview, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, brought over a 1915 Model T Ford for the students to inspect, along with a 2016 Ford Fusion.

ETBU Computer Science Professor Bill Mills also brought his 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 for presentation.

MARSHALL, Texas (7/30/15) - East Texas Baptist University announces its summer hours for administrative offices.

For the summer months, June 1st  through July 31st  , ETBU offices will be open Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. All administrative offices will be closed on Friday.

ETBU will resume regular office hours on Monday, August 3, which are 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
