ETBU initiates the Tiger Transfer Track Program
As a part of the Tiger Transfer Track Program, East Texas Baptist University has broadened its reach by signing articulation agreements with nine educational institutions and ministry organizations including the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler (UTHSCT), Kilgore College, Jacksonville College, Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC), Youth with A Mission (YWAM), Panola College, Navarro College, Tyler Junior College (TJC), and Angelina College.

ETBU confers 105 graduates during Fall Commencement

East Texas Baptist University held its Fall Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, December 9 at 10:00 a.m. in Baker Chapel of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center. ETBU President J. Blair Blackburn presided over the ceremony as 82 students received undergraduate degrees and 23 received graduate degrees, for a total of 105 graduates. ETBU Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Thomas Sanders, assisted by the academic deans, presented the graduating class.

ETBU signs an articulation agreement with TJC

East Texas Baptist University's partnership with Tyler Junior College (TJC) marks its eighth articulation agreement with institutions in the region. The articulation agreement, signed on Wednesday, November 29 by ETBU President J. Blair Blackburn and TJC President Mike Metke, provides a path for TJC students to pursue a quality, Christian education at East Texas Baptist.

Holocaust Survivor Jack Repp speaks on ETBU’s campus

The East Texas Baptist University Political Awareness Society (PAS), in partnership with the Student Government Association (SGA), invited Holocaust Survivor Jack Repp, a representative from the Dallas Holocaust Museum and Center for Education and Tolerance, to speak on campus Tuesday, November 7. He shared stories with the audience about his experiences during the Holocaust and gave his perspective on having faith in God through the most difficult times.

ETBU’s Kinesiology Department hosts Field Day

East Texas Baptist University's Kinesiology Department hosted its tenth annual Field Day for Washington Early Childhood Center (WECC) on Wednesday, November 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Keys Gym on campus. Kinesiology students enrolled in the Teaching K-5 Physical Education course interacted with over 280 three and four year-olds from the center, allowing them to enjoy a variety of physical activities including parachute play, tricycle riding, and obstacle courses.
