Communication Society
The function of the ETBU Communication Society is to harness students’ skills in areas such as writing, reporting, audio/visual, videography, photography, media relations and more, to provide volunteer and internship opportunities outside of ETBU. Students from all majors/minors are welcome to join.
Kristos Logos Paideia
Kristos Logos Paideia is a global undergraduate honor society dedicated to recognizing and celebrating excellence in communication scholarship while fostering an environment where students can explore the integration of their Christian faith with the academic study of communication. Inductees are communication majors or minors who have been nominated by a faculty member, have completed twelve or more credit-hours in the communication field, and have maintained a 3.25 overall GPA and 3.5 GPA for all communication coursework.
Lambda Pi Eta - National Honor Society
ETBU sponsors a chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, a honor society administered by the National Communication Association. The honor society is open to Communication majors and minors who are juniors or seniors and have at least a 3.25 GPA in communication classes. New members are inducted each year. The chapter participates in numerous service activities throughout the year.
Mead Lab
Mead Lab is an opportunity for students to get hands-on experience producing weekly social media content. It's students producing work for other students. Whether a post, Instagram story, TikTok video or YouTube podcast, students pitch story ideas and produce the work from writing to shooting, editing to posting.
