East Texas Baptist University has been recognized by the Annual RegisteredNursing.org Registered Nurse (RN) Program State Rankings as the sixth-ranked RN Program in Texas out of 119 programs evaluated and 50 ranked. Since 2015, ETBU nurses have achieved 100 percent pass rates on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) and received job offers within three months of degree completion.

East Texas Baptist University’s Louise Ornelas University Park Row Houses received an Outstanding Design Award in the Residence Hall category of American School & University’s Architectural Portfolio 2018, the sourcebook for award-winning and outstanding education design.

East Texas Baptist University held its Fall 2018 Commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 8 at 10:00 a.m. in Baker Chapel of the Ornelas Spiritual Life Center. ETBU Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Thomas Sanders, assisted by the academic deans, presented all 134 graduates. ETBU President J. Blair Blackburn presided over the ceremony as 106 students received undergraduate degrees and 28 received graduate degrees.
