MARSHALL, Texas (07/12/16) - East Texas Baptist University awarded the first four winners of the ETBU Hispanic Christian Servant Leadership Scholarship on June 28. The four scholarships are a partnership between ETBU and the Hispanic Baptist Convention of Texas. These scholarships cover 50 percent of the recipients' tuition and full room and board throughout the student's undergraduate degree.

ASC: RICHARDSON, Texas (6/8/16) – Receiving the highest award in the American Southwest Conference, East Texas Baptist University’s Conner Combs is the “Athlete of the Year.” It is the first time a male athlete from ETBU has been voted for this award.

CoSIDA: AUSTIN, Texas (6/1/16) – Finishing out a stellar year of awards for East Texas Baptist University baseball, Conner Combs has earned the highest academic award by CoSIDA for NCAA Division III. Selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), he has been voted the Academic All-American of the Year for NCAA Division III baseball and is also an Academic All-American.

ABCA: MARSHALL, Texas (5/31/16) – In just two days, East Texas Baptist University now has another All-American and three on the year as Conner Combs and Tyler Bates were voted onto the ABCA/Rawlings All-American second-team. It is the first time that ETBU has had an ABCA All-American since 2005 and is only the second time in program history producing ABCA All-Americans. On Thursday, Combs was named a D3baseball.com All-American on the third-team.

D3BASEBALL: MARSHALL, Texas – For the first time in program history the East Texas Baptist University baseball team has a D3baseball.com All-American as Conner Combs made the third team. Combs becomes only the second All-American overall in the NCAA era for ETBU as Trey Luster was an ABCA All-American in 2005.
