East Texas Baptist University, along with Texas Baptists (BGCT), hosted the third annual Worship Summit on Thursday, November 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. in ETBU’s Ornelas Student Center. The gathering focused on the spiritual health of worship pastors with presentations on balancing responsibilities, building relationships, and finding rest.

East Texas Baptist University’s Learning and Leading classes hosted Fall Festivals for four of Marshall ISD’s elementary schools including David Crockett Elementary, Sam Houston Elementary, William B. Travis Elementary, and Price T. Young Elementary on Monday, October 8 to serve almost a thousand elementary students and their families.

The half-day conference equipped students with an in-depth understanding of specific callings by providing opportunities to hear from and dialogue with experienced ministry professionals.

East Texas Baptist University students welcomed their families to campus for the University’s annual Family Weekend on Friday, September 14 and Saturday, September 15. More than 465 family members visited to experience the joy of community at ETBU.

East Texas Baptist University celebrated the 105th anniversary of the institution's chartering with Founders Day on Sunday, October 22. This special service was held at First Baptist Church, Marshall in honor of W. T. Tardy, the first Pastor of FBC Marshall and founder of the College of Marshall, ETBU's forerunner.
