East Texas Baptist University hosted a series of events for Spiritual Renewal Week on Monday, February 25 through Thursday, February 28. Themed “Defeating Distractions” based on Hebrews 12:1-3, the week consisted of chapel services, a Night of Worship, Concert of Prayer, and Student-led Worship.

East Texas Baptist University hosted a Congreso Experience on Saturday, March 2 in partnership with Texas Baptists (BGCT). Themed “Alive,” based on Galatians 2:20, the free event encouraged more than 70 local students from six churches in their education and spiritual walk.

East Texas Baptist University hosted Jamie Ivey as the keynote speaker at the third annual Women’s Summit on Monday, February 4. The event consisted of a chapel service, women’s faculty and staff luncheon, and special evening session.

East Texas Baptist University Tiger Athletics held the third annual Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Wrapping Party on Monday, November 12 as a part of the Samaritan’s Purse National Collection Week. Tiger Athletics collected 230 boxes for boys and girls through donations from over 500 student-athletes. Following the event, the boxes were delivered to Summit United Methodist Church in Marshall, Texas.

East Texas Baptist University hosted almost 300 guests on campus for Tiger Day on Saturday, November 10. The event enabled prospective students to learn what it means to be an ETBU Tiger through an academic showcase, student life exposition, campus tour, Tiger Family tailgate, and Tiger Football game.
