The ETBU School of Nursing is relocating to the historic Marshall Grand in downtown Marshall. Since 1992, ETBU has been equipping nurses with knowledge, professional skills, and compassion. ETBU Nurses have consistently achieved high pass rates on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) and 100% of recent 2016 and 2017 East Texas Baptist Nursing School graduates received job offers upon degree completion.

Constance Steadman was afraid to live in her own home.

"I was scared to walk into my bathroom because the floor made a popping sound when I stepped on it and I was afraid I was going to fall through," she said. "There was a lot of air coming into the house from outside and the ceiling was leaking."

Earning his fourth All-American award for play, East Texas Baptist University baseball player Conner Combs has been named to the ABCA All-American second team. This is the second straight season being named an ABCA All-American. Earlier this week he was named a D3baseball.com All-American which was his second from that organization.

In a winner-take-all finale to the 2017 NCAA Marshall Regional, the East Texas Baptist University defeated Whitworth University to advance to the Super Regionals in the NCAA Tournament. ETBU improves to 38-9 overall this season, while Whitworth ends their season at 37-11.

ETBU's softball team opened up the NCAA Regionals with a win 6-3 win over Whitworth Friday night and a 5-3 win over UT-Dallas Saturday. The game against the Comets was immediately followed by a rematch against Whitworth where the Pirates came out on top 3-1 to force a third battle between the two teams on Sunday.
