The Tiger Family unites through Welcome Week

East Texas Baptist University's Welcome Week invited incoming new students to experience life on the Hill through a five-day event, consisting of large group sessions focused on social, academic, and spiritual development as well as activities such as small group sessions, service projects, an ETBU Amazing Race, and Chill on the Hill.

ETBU summer camps impact lives

East Texas Baptist University hosted a variety of camps throughout the summer, structured to refine the strength, leadership, and faith of students across the state. In addition to managing ETBU camps, the University partnered with outside organizations to provide youth with a camp experience on East Texas Baptist's historic campus.

ETBU Sports Camps are designed to prepare athletes of all levels with tactical training in a challenging and exciting atmosphere. ETBU offered camps for football, volleyball, men and women's soccer, softball, baseball, and men and women's basketball.

August Mini-Terms kick-off the Fall 2017 semester

East Texas Baptist University's Mini-Terms, available as one-week or two-week courses, were administered from Monday, August 7 through Friday, August 18. The University began offering Mini-Terms in May 2016 as a benefit for the flat tuition rate. This August, 19 different courses were available and over 300 students enrolled.

ETBU freshmen get acquainted with campus during Tiger Camp in Marshall

East Texas Baptist University incoming freshmen and transferring freshmen got rowdy on Monday during the fourth annual Tiger Camp's recreation time where they played water games and sports.

Tiger Camp, which kicked off on Sunday evening and runs through Wednesday afternoon, allows all of the university's new freshmen to spend a few days on campus getting a taste of college life and meeting their fellow classmates, the university's Vice President of Student Affairs Heather Hadlock said on Monday.
