The East Texas Baptist University School of Natural and Social Sciences traveled to China as a part of the Global Study and Serve Program from Monday, May 13 through Thursday, May 30. Led by ETBU Department of Biology and Chemistry Chair and Professor of Biology Roy Darville, the class visited Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Beijing.

The East Texas Baptist University School of Christian Studies traveled to Israel as a part of the Global Study and Serve Program on Monday, May 13 through Saturday, May 25. Students earned credit for either Introduction to Old Testament, taught by Assistant Provost and Associate Professor of Religion and Leadership Emily Prevost, or Lands and Cities of Israel, taught by Dean of the School of Christian Studies John Harris. Led by ETBU Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Thomas Sanders, the group of 32 students, faculty, and staff walked where Jesus walked.

East Texas Baptist University held a series of events as a part of the annual ETBU Global Missions Week on Monday, March 25 through Thursday, March 28. To highlight both international and local missions, the week consisted of Mission Marketplace, a Mission Interest Lunch, Go Now Missions Run, and special guests for chapel services.

East Texas Baptist University students traveled to Birmingham, Alabama from Sunday, March 10 through Friday, March 15 on a mission trip as a part of the national Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge. Led by ETBU Dean of Spiritual Life Scott Stevens, the ETBU students earned service credit hours while being involved in hands-on mission work through home construction and rehabilitation.

East Texas Baptist University sent 18 Baptist Student Ministry (BSM) student leaders to South Padre Island, Texas on Friday, March 8 through Friday, March 15 as a part of Beach Reach, an annual evangelism initiative to share the hope of Jesus by providing free food and transportation to beach visitors.
