East Texas Baptist University Tiger Athletics held the third annual Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Wrapping Party on Monday, November 12 as a part of the Samaritan’s Purse National Collection Week. Tiger Athletics collected 230 boxes for boys and girls through donations from over 500 student-athletes. Following the event, the boxes were delivered to Summit United Methodist Church in Marshall, Texas.

East Texas Baptist University’s Taylor Field was named by Turface Athletics as 2018 NFCA Field of the Year in NCAA Division III. Selected by the NFCA Awards Committee, the top fields and stadiums in the nation are recognized for their exceptional playing surfaces and grounds maintenance.

The Christmas spirit came to East Texas Baptist University earlier than usual as the student-athletes participated in Operation Christmas Child this week. ETBU student-athletes came together with their gifts for boys and girls and wrapped them all in one night.

In the first year of the ETBU Athletic Operation Christmas Child Wrapping Party, the athletic department collected 181 boxes for boys and girls through donations from ETBU's 500 student-athletes. These boxes were then delivered to Summit United Methodist Church in Marshall.

ASC: RICHARDSON, Texas (6/8/16) – Receiving the highest award in the American Southwest Conference, East Texas Baptist University’s Conner Combs is the “Athlete of the Year.” It is the first time a male athlete from ETBU has been voted for this award.

ASC TOURNAMENT: TYLER, Texas (4/30/16) – With a dominant pitching performance, incredible hitting, and outstanding defense, the East Texas Baptist University softball team (33-8) upset #1 Texas-Tyler, 6-1, to advance to the American Southwest Conference championship. This win not only ended a 33-game-winning streak for UTT as well as it gave them their first loss at home all season. This will be the fourth year in a row that ETBU will be playing for an ASC championship winning it last in 2013.
