Non-Degree Seeking Student Application for Admission

I understand that as a Christian institution, East Texas Baptist University places emphasis on high standards of personal conduct by all students. Therefore, if accepted for admission, I agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the University as set forth in the catalog and student handbook. I understand that if any information on this form is found to be inaccurate or incomplete, it will be sufficient cause for rejection or dismissal. I certify that I am not seeking a degree at ETBU at this time and realize that should I wish to do so in the future that I must submit all required academic credentials and meet admission standards of the University.

Non-degree seeking students may be admitted as part-time students if they are in transit from another post secondary institution within the current academic year or the one preceding the current year provided that the applicant is not currently (within the last three years) on academic suspension from another post secondary institution. Enrollment is limited to seven (7) credit hours in any one term. Transcripts are waived and a special application may be completed. Those spending consecutive semesters other than summer terms in transit are required to follow regular procedures for admission. An affidavit of high school graduation or submission of the General Education Degree equivalency and college work completed is required. Graduates of four-year institutions may be admitted as non-degree seeking students for up to the maximum hours allowable per term. All non-degree-seeking students must show documentary evidence of good standing at the last college of attendance. Students desiring to apply course work toward a degree must be formally admitted to the University. Permission for enrollment in up to twelve credithours may be granted to those holding prior baccalaureate degrees or to individuals who wish to take additional courses in study skills, developmental English, developmental mathematics, and the like. Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for federal, state, or university financial aid, except for categories specifically designated through the office of Financial Aid.

I understand that signing this statement is a condition of my acceptance to East Texas Baptist University.
