ETBU celebrates record student enrollment for second year in a row

East Texas Baptist University has more students attending this year than ever before with 1,613 total students, a 5.2 percent increase over Fall 2017. The Fall 2018 enrollment represents 23.3 percent growth over the last three years. In addition, the University’s 83 percent retention rate continues to rise with expanded student life and spiritual development activities, academic support and opportunities, alumni interactions, donor support, facility improvements, and athletic participation.

ETBU Women’s Basketball serves in Jamaica

The East Texas Baptist University Women’s Basketball team traveled to Jamaica from Wednesday, August 1 through Thursday, August 9 as a part of the Tiger Athletic Mission Experience (TAME) program. Led by Head Coach Rusty Rainbolt and ETBU Director of Global Education Lisa Seeley, the group of 27 partnered with Ignite International to minister to the people of Jamaica.

University Singers travel to Peru

ETBU University Singers travel to Peru for the Global Study and Serve Program

The East Texas Baptist University Music Department traveled to Peru as a part of the Global Study and Serve Program on Monday, July 2 through Monday, July 9. Led by ETBU Board of Trustees Chair and Wiseman Ministries Development Director Cary Hilliard, Dean of the School of Performing Arts and Communication Tom Webster, and First Baptist Church-Longview Children's Minister Angela Webster, the University Singers performed and ministered at public schools, community centers, and medical facilities.
