ETBU & KSLA Holiday Food Drive

MARSHALL, Texas (11/29/15) - East Texas Baptist University is inviting everyone to participate in a Holiday Food Drive during the Christmas season that will benefit the residents of Marshall and Harrison County. ETBU, in cooperation with KSLA-TV Shreveport, will be collecting canned food items on Wednesday, December 2, from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on campus.

ETBU Baseball Serves in the Marshall Community

MARSHALL, Texas (11/24/15) - The game of baseball has many ways in which to rate how good a player or a team is performing. Statistical categories like won-loss records, batting averages, fielding averages, earned run average and slugging percentages provides a way to measure success. The East Texas Baptist University Tiger baseball team is presently accumulating a stat, volunteer service hours, that will not show in a box score but is very impressive.

ETBU Names Dr. Heather Hadlock as Vice President for Student Affairs

MARSHALL, Texas (11/20/15) - East Texas Baptist University President Dr. Blair Blackburn announces that Dr. Heather Hadlock has been selected to serve as Vice President for Student Affairs. Dr. Hadlock comes to ETBU after serving in a number of roles in student affairs and administrative affairs at Dallas Baptist University including Assistant Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Associate Dean of Students, Director of Residence Life, and Director of Student Life.

Lady Tigers Win Again, Remain Undefeated

BASKETBALL (W): FORT WORTH, Texas (11/23/15) - A strong defensive effort in the fourth quarter by the East Texas Baptist University women's basketball team led to a 63-56 win over Texas Wesleyan University. ETBU has now won four straight games matching the best start in the last 10 years at 4-0.

Lady Tigers 3-0 For the First Time Since 2005-06

BASKETBALL (W): MARSHALL, Texas (11/23/15) - It took a 10-3 run in the final three minutes of the game by the East Texas Baptist University women's basketball team to hold off Texas College (0-2), 57-53, moving to 3-0 on the season for the first time since 2005-06. Malaisia Chisholm led the team with a career-high 19 points and scored five of the team's final 10 points of the game.
