ETBU Trustees Approve 2015-2016 Budget

MARSHALL, Texas (5/01/15) - The East Texas Baptist University Board of Trustees met in regular session Friday and approved a $38.7 million operating budget for the 2015-2016 academic year. This represents a 3.7% increase over the current years' budget.  The 2015-2016, which takes effect, June 1, includes over $10.2 million for student scholarships, an increase of 3.1% over the current budget.

ETBU Reschedules Judge Sam B. Hall Jr. Lecture Series and Banquet for March 23

MARSHALL, Texas (3/17/15) - The annual Sam B. Hall Jr. Lecture and Banquet has been rescheduled for Monday, March 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Phillips Great Room on the ground floor of the Bennett Student Commons at East Texas Baptist University.  The lecture series banquet was postponed due to inclement weather on February 23.   The lecture series program commemorates the late United States Representative and federal judge Sam B. Hall, Jr., who was a Marshall native and an alumnus of the College of Marshall, which is now ETBU.

ETBU Honors Students Named to Who Who's Among Students in American Universities & Colleges

MARSHALL, Texas  (3/11/15) - The Office of Academic Affairs at East Texas Baptist University held a reception for 15 students who will be included in the 2015 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.  The reception attended by family, faculty and friends of the honorees was held in the Woods Great Room of the Ornelas Student Center on Wednesday afternoon, March 4.

ETBU Honors Project Program Experiencing Growth This Spring Semester

MARSHALL, Texas (2/19/15) - The East Texas Baptist University Honors Project program has its largest group of students this semester than ever before.  A total of nine students from seven different academic departments are involved in the honors project endeavor. 

An Honors Project is designed to allow ETBU students the opportunity to conduct advanced research in their chosen discipline.
