Holocaust Survivor Jack Repp speaks on ETBU’s campus

The East Texas Baptist University Political Awareness Society (PAS), in partnership with the Student Government Association (SGA), invited Holocaust Survivor Jack Repp, a representative from the Dallas Holocaust Museum and Center for Education and Tolerance, to speak on campus Tuesday, November 7. He shared stories with the audience about his experiences during the Holocaust and gave his perspective on having faith in God through the most difficult times.

ETBU students serve East Texas elementary children

Serving the elementary children of Marshall Independent School District, the East Texas Baptist University athletic department partnered with Samaritan's Feet providing shoes to four elementary schools. During NCAA Division III Week, over 50 ETBU student-athletes served 67 children new shoes and socks.

Marshall woman Jean Birmingham given ETBU service award

Retired Marshall ISD school teacher Jean Birmingham received the Sam B. Hall Civic Service Award from East Texas Baptist University during the annual Sam B. Hall dinner and lecture series.

Birmingham served as a business teacher at Marshall ISD for 36 years and was also active in the city of Marshall as an entrepreneur and city activist.

Birmingham was presented the award on Tuesday at the university by former Harrison County Judge Richard Anderson.
