ETBU unites in prayer through See You at the Pole

East Texas Baptist University gathered around the campus flagpole on Wednesday, September 26 for the annual global day of prayer, See You at the Pole. For over a decade, ETBU has participated in this tradition, enabling the Tiger Family to intercede for their school, friends, families, churches, communities, and country.

ETBU students honor Martin Luther King Jr. with day of service

Over 160 ETBU students, faculty, and staff participated in service projects throughout Harrison County as part of the National Day of Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and his service to others. Members of the ETBU community served at organizations in the area including Mission Marshall, The Boys & Girls Club of Hallsville, Dayspring Therapeutic Equestrian Center, and My Friend's House.

ETBU Graduates Say They've Grown Spiritually While Learning

MARSHALL NEWS MESSENGER (5/8/16) - East Texas Baptist University graduate Hoyce Mitchell said Saturday that he will always be thankful for his time at the Marshall university where he honed his basketball skills, earned an education and grew in his walk with God.

"ETBU helped me grow as a person, spiritually, physically and emotionally," Mitchell said Saturday. "Earning my degree makes me feel good because that's one more accomplishment, one more step in my life."

Mitchell now hopes to move on to the pro-basketball circuit, starting overseas first.

Sgt. Shirey Returns to ETBU to Sing With “Singing Sergeants” and USAF Band

MARSHALL, Texas (4/11/16) – When a young man or woman enlists to serve in any branch of the United States military service there is an expectancy one will experience a life that is challenging and exciting as they serve. For East Texas Baptist University alum and United States Air Force Technical Sgt., Hannah Rigg Shirey that has been true as she serves with the Singing Sergeants.
