Six Lady Tigers Earn NFCA Regional Honors

NFCA: MARSHALL, Texas (5/18/16) – Sweeping through post season awards regionally, the East Texas Baptist University softball team had six players earn NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) West All-Region awards. With six selections overall, ETBU had the most in the West Region.

Earning the all-region first-team were Lacey Lindsey and Jayme Perez for the third year in a row. On the second-team were Rocki Tello, Linzie Lewis, Lindsey Vasquez, and Alexis Padilla. Lindsey and Perez will now be able to be up for the All-American teams that will be released next week.

ETBU's Season Ends in NCAA Tournament

NCAA: TYLER, Texas (5/14/16) – Saturday turned out to be not quite what #8 East Texas Baptist University had hoped it would be as they fell in the elimination game to #5 Texas Lutheran University, 12-9, ending their season in the NCAA Tournament. ETBU finishes the 2016 season at 35-10 and won their eighth American Southwest Conference championship.

NCAA: Casey Selected for National Tournament

TENNIS: MARSHALL, Texas (5/12/16) – The historic season for the East Texas Baptist University women’s tennis team still continues as senior Kayla Casey has been selected for the NCAA Division III National Tournament as an individual. This is another first for the program as Casey finishes up her stellar career at ETBU.

NCAA REGIONAL: #8 ETBU Shuts Out #5 TLU

NCAA SOFTBALL: TYLER, Texas (5/13/16) – Showing why they are one of the top teams in the nation in the opening game of the NCAA Division III National Tournament, #8 East Texas Baptist University shut out #5 Texas Lutheran University, 11-0, for their 35th win of the year. The win was ETBU’s 26th program win in the NCAA Tournament.

Lady Tiger Softball Opens NCAA Regional Play

SOFTBALL: MARSHALL, Texas (5/13/16) – Making their 10th appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament, and fourth straight, East Texas Baptist University has an exciting but tough road ahead of them starting in Tyler, Texas, on Friday. ETBU is a part of a four-team regional tournament played at Texas-Tyler and is the #3 seed.
