#TIGERSWIN: 2017 ASC Tennis Champions

ABILENE, Texas - Coming down to a single match for the American Southwest Conference women's tennis championship, East Texas Baptist University clinched their first ever championship with a 5-3 win over top seeded University of Texas at Tyler. ETBU now receives the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament which will be a first for the program. ETBU has only had women's tennis for six years and head coach Jeff Bramlett is in his fourth year.

NCAA: Casey Selected for National Tournament

TENNIS: MARSHALL, Texas (5/12/16) – The historic season for the East Texas Baptist University women’s tennis team still continues as senior Kayla Casey has been selected for the NCAA Division III National Tournament as an individual. This is another first for the program as Casey finishes up her stellar career at ETBU.

WEEKEND TIGER ATHLETICS: Tiger Women's Tennis Upsets #23 Ranked LaVerne & More

TENNIS: WACO, Texas (2/13/16) - Gaining the program's first-ever win over a nationally ranked team the East Texas Baptist University women's tennis team knocked off #23 the University of La Verne (Calif.), 7-2, on Saturday morning. This is the third win this year over a regionally ranked program and first vs. a top-25 team. The neutral-site match was played at the Waco Regional Tennis Center.

Weekend Tiger Athletics: Basketball, Baseball, Softball & Tennis

BASEBALL: ORANGE, California (2/6/15) - Scoring 15 runs in the final game on Saturday for a three-run win over Chapman University, the East Texas Baptist University baseball team split the double header but took the overall three-game series. ETBU fell in game one, 4-3, but then bounced back for a 15-12 win in the last game. With the 12-7 win from last night, ETBU starts off the 2016 season at 2-1.

Weekend Tiger Athletics- Basketball & Tennis Starts the Spring Season

BASKETBALL (M): MARSHALL, Texas (1/30/16) -  Boosted by Bret Atkins' 33-point performance, the East Texas Baptist University men's basketball team withstood a hard-charging second-half effort by the University of Texas-Tyler to win, 69-64, on Saturday afternoon inside of Ornelas Gym. Atkins hit eight three-pointers and making seven straight in the first half.

ETBU ups its overall record to 15-4 and 8-2 in American Southwest Conference games and is currently on a season-best seven-game winning streak. Additionally, the team improves to 9-1 on its home court this season.
