East Texas Baptist University presented 207 graduates with degrees during its commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 10, in Baker Chapel of the Rogers Spiritual Life Center. During the ceremonies, 167 students received undergraduate degrees, 36 received master’s degrees, and four earned doctoral degrees. The worship ceremony featured Scripture readings, praise and worship through song, prayers, and blessings over the graduates.

B. H. Carroll Theological Seminary at East Texas Baptist University has named David Butts as Director of Admissions, bringing nearly four decades of ministry experience, leadership, and discipleship training to the role.

East Texas Baptist University honored 158 graduating seniors by presenting their official ETBU Class Ring. The Ring Blessing ceremony was held Wednesday, April 29, for the soon-to-be ETBU alumni who will walk the stage in May 2026. Inspired by Deuteronomy 6, the class ring allows ETBU Alumni to carry and display the love of Christ.

Camille Freeman of Henderson, Texas, was recognized on Wednesday, April 29, during East Texas Baptist University’s 79th annual Senior Girl Call-Out. Selected by a faculty and staff vote, the senior student “called out” each year is distinguished for her exemplary Christian character, social consciousness, personal poise, academic achievement, and spiritual vision.

B. H. Carroll Theological Seminary at ETBU hosted Dr. Holly Allen, retired Professor of Christian Ministries and Family Science at Lipscomb University, as the keynote speaker for the Frank W. and Pauline Patterson Lecture Series, held April 27–28 on the ETBU campus as part of the Seminary’s Spring 2026 Colloquy.
