Before ETBU Classes Begin, New Students Serve in the Marshall Community

MARSHALL, Texas (8/26/15) - New incoming students of East Texas Baptist University fanned out to 12 different locations on Saturday morning in hopes of making a difference in the community they now call home.  The new Marshall residents participated in community service projects, which were apart of Welcome Week activities, prior to the start of the fall semester on Monday.

"ETBU Cares" Day Making A Difference in the Community

MARSHALL, Texas (4/02/15) - Students of East Texas Baptist University sacrificed personal time on a Saturday morning, March 28, to show Marshall that "ETBU Cares."  This is a yearly event that provides an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to serve the Marshall community.   

"The Great Commission Center sponsors "ETBU Cares" Day," said Dr. Lisa Seeley ETBU Great Commission Director. "Over 100 ETBU students served the Marshall community at this year's event in six different locations with seven projects to help with."

ETBU Named To The President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for 4th Consecutive Year

MARSHALL, Texas (12/17/14) - For the fourth consecutive year, East Texas Baptist University has been named to the 2014 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll by the Corporation for National and Community Service. This designation is the highest honor a college or university can receive for its commitment to volunteering, service-learning, and civic engagement.
