Home to the East Texas Baptist University School of Nursing, the Marshall Grand now houses an art gallery inspired by the parable of the Good Samaritan found in Luke 10:25-37.
East Texas Baptist University held its annual Hilltop University on Wednesday, May 29 through Friday, May 31. The three-day spiritual retreat offered more than 170 boomers and senior adults the opportunity to experience life as an ETBU student on campus through the study of God’s Word, corporate worship, joyful entertainment, and fellowship with friends.
East Texas Baptist University hosted the 24th annual tribute to Sam B. Hall, Jr. on Monday, May 27 at the historic Harrison County Courthouse Square in downtown Marshall. The Sam B. Hall Memorial Day Celebration: A Patriotic Concert featured patriotic live music performed by the East Texas Symphonic Band, a salute to those who sacrificed their lives in U.S. military service, and commemorated the legacy of The Honorable Sam B. Hall, Jr.
East Texas Baptist University held its Spring 2019 Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. ETBU President J. Blair Blackburn presided over the ceremonies as 156 students received undergraduate degrees and 11 received graduate degrees, for a total of 167 graduates.
East Texas Baptist University hosted alumni, donors, and friends of the University at the Grand Opening of the ETBU School of Nursing and the new Marshall Grand in downtown Marshall on May 4. The event consisted of facility tours, recognition of donors, and a dedication ceremony.
