ETBU Teague School of Nursing Students Serve in Guatemala

Eleven students and faculty from East Texas Baptist University’s Teague School of Nursing have returned from a Global Study and Serve trip to Guatemala, where they provided medical care to underserved communities in and around Antigua. The trip, in partnership with International Medical Relief (IMR), offered nursing students the opportunity to fulfill course service hours for Nursing as a Ministry while embracing the call to serve others through the love of Christ.

ETBU Students Embark on Global Study and Serve Trip to London

East Texas Baptist University students experienced British history, global cultures, and Christian service firsthand during a Global Study and Serve trip to London, England. Led by Associate Professor of History Dr. Jenny Hoover and, Dean of the School of Christian Studies and Humanities, and Chair of the Department of History and Political Science, Dr. Sandy Hoover, the weeklong journey combined educational exploration with ministry engagement, giving students opportunities to reflect academically, culturally, and spiritually.

B. H. Carroll Theological Seminary at ETBU Hosts 2025 Frank W. Pauline Patterson Lecture Series

East Texas Baptist University recently welcomed distinguished New Testament scholar, speaker, historian of early Christianity, theologian, and author Dr. Scot McKnight to campus as the keynote speaker for the 2025 Frank W. and Pauline Patterson Lecture Series. The event was hosted by B. H. Carroll Theological Seminary at ETBU as part of this year’s annual Carroll Colloquy, held May 19–20 in the Great Commission Center.

ETBU Acrobatics & Tumbling, Cheer, and Pom Teams Serve in Northern Ireland on Transformative Tiger Athletic Mission Experience

East Texas Baptist University's Acrobatics and Tumbling, Cheer, and Pom teams recently returned from an unforgettable Tiger Athletic Mission Experience (TAME) to Northern Ireland, combining their athletic talents with gospel-centered service. This marks the 23rd TAME trip for the ETBU Athletic Department and the second international mission for these teams, following a journey to Japan in 2019.

Made New Initiative Breathes New Life into Dorm Room Donations at ETBU

As East Texas Baptist University students packed up their dorm rooms at the close of the semester, a new initiative invited them to give with purpose. Made New, a service project launched by students in the Service-Learning and Humanities class in partnership with the student organization Amigos Unidos, turned cast-off belongings into blessings for the broader East Texas community.
