ETBU holds Ring Blessing ceremony to honor December 2025 graduates

East Texas Baptist University honored 97 graduating seniors with the presentation of their official ETBU Class Ring. The Ring Blessing ceremony was held on Wednesday, November 19, for the soon-to-be ETBU alumni who will walk the stage in December 2025. Inspired by Deuteronomy 6, the class ring serves as a symbol for ETBU alumni to carry and display the love of Christ throughout their lives.

ETBU Director of Alumni Relations, Cari Johnson (’94), shared a powerful chapel message on the transformative power of change.

Legacy of 1912 Society Luncheon welcomes ETBU retirees and donors

East Texas Baptist University welcomed ETBU retirees, Legacy of 1912 Society members, and endowed scholarship donors to campus for the annual Legacy of 1912 Society Luncheon on Wednesday, November 5.

The Legacy of 1912 Society is comprised of alumni and friends who, through thoughtful estate planning and other forms of planned giving, ensure that resources will be available to support ETBU far into the future.

ETBU Tiger Family Celebrates Homecoming on the Hill

East Texas Baptist University celebrated Homecoming 2025 by welcoming alumni and friends to on-campus festivities Friday, October 17, through Saturday, October 18. Throughout the week, the University held a variety of events that engaged students in faith and friendship, including pumpkin painting, Conversations with the President, trivia Tuesday, Powder Puff games, and Western dancing.

East Texas Baptist University Organizes Fall Festivals for Marshall ISD Elementary Schools

East Texas Baptist University’s Learning and Leading classes recently organized and hosted the 14th annual Fall Festivals for all five Marshall ISD elementary schools, including David Crockett Elementary, Sam Houston Elementary, William B. Travis Elementary, Price T. Young Elementary, and the Marshall Early Childhood Center, on October 6, 2025.

ETBU Celebrates Christ-Centered Service Through the Bob and Gayle Riley Servant Leadership Award

East Texas Baptist University recognized the dedication and Christ-centered service of two outstanding students during a special chapel service on October 8. Seniors Jamie Scott and Charles Guillot received the Dr. Bob and Gayle Riley Servant Leadership Award in honor of their exemplary commitment to servant leadership and faithful impact within the ETBU community.
