ETBU joins in See You at the Pole

Around 100 students from East Texas Baptist University joined in prayer for one another, their families, their community, the nation, and the world this morning from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. as a part of a worldwide initiative-See You at the Pole.
 
"We prayed for unity on campus, racially, and between athletes and non-athletes," ETBU Senior Brett Forbus of Kilgore said. "We prayed for the community of Marshall, and that students bring their faith outside of their bubble and share it in their community by being more involved."

ETBU Graduates Say They've Grown Spiritually While Learning

MARSHALL NEWS MESSENGER (5/8/16) - East Texas Baptist University graduate Hoyce Mitchell said Saturday that he will always be thankful for his time at the Marshall university where he honed his basketball skills, earned an education and grew in his walk with God.

"ETBU helped me grow as a person, spiritually, physically and emotionally," Mitchell said Saturday. "Earning my degree makes me feel good because that's one more accomplishment, one more step in my life."

Mitchell now hopes to move on to the pro-basketball circuit, starting overseas first.

Gabrielle Besch Named as ETBU’s 2015-2016 Senior Girl Call-Out

MARSHALL, Texas (4/15/16) – East Texas Baptist University’s oldest, most honored tradition returned for its 69th year on Friday, April 15, 2016, naming the 2015-2016 Senior Girl Call-Out. The ceremony was held on the front lawn of Marshall Hall.
 
This year’s Senior Girl Call-Out is Gabrielle Besch of Bonham. ETBU First Lady Michelle Blackburn presented Miss Besch her award which was an engraved crystal vase filled with yellow Texas roses.
